西方國家的節日促銷季已經到來，而在印度，也即將迎來一年之中最重要的節日——排燈節。
排燈節（Diwali, Deepawali），又稱為萬燈節、印度燈節，也稱光明節，或者屠妖節，是印度最隆重的節日，每年 10 月中旬至 11 月中旬慶祝，今年剛好是 11.7 。
排燈節的字面意思是一排排點亮的燈，可以想象強烈的畫面感，萬家燈火點亮印度的夜晚。 Diwali 是耆那教、印度教與錫克教慶祝 “以光明驅走黑暗，以善良戰勝邪惡” 的節日。也被看作 “內心之光” 的慶典，一些佛教信徒也會慶祝這個節日。
這個節日不止在印度當地非常受歡迎，就連在斐濟、蓋亞那、馬來西亞 (沙撈越除外) 、模里西斯、緬甸、尼泊爾、新加坡、斯里蘭卡、蘇利南、特立尼達等地方都被官方設為法定節日。
印度排燈節持續 5 天，通常在排燈節前夜，家家户户會把房間打掃得乾乾淨淨並進行粉刷。從裏到外，類似國內春節和國外聖誕節的前夕大掃除。通過這樣一個儀式，除舊迎新，也是為了表示對神祗們的尊敬。
第二天，印度女孩都會在家門口精巧地手繪製各式蘭戈裏（印度民間藝術），家家户户的蘭戈裏爭豔鬥麗只為吸引幸運女神 Lakshmi 上門，為來年帶來財運。蘭戈裏的圖案創意無限，表達人們心中對來年的美好祈願。
排燈節的第三天是正日子，也是慶祝活動最隆重的一天。人們恭迎天神 Lakshmi，女士們會穿上印度傳統裙裝 sari，男士們則穿上 kurthas 。百姓穿上新衣、商人換新帳本，象徵新生活的開始。還有一項重要儀式是祈求財富之神 Lakshmi 的護佑，雖然排燈節期間印度的公司都放假了，但這一天股市會有一小時的特別交易，以作為呈獻給 Lakshmi 的禮物。
排燈節的第四天是全家聚在一起共享天倫的日子；而節日的最後一天，是屬於姐妹的日子，兄弟們會帶著禮物到姐妹家中拜訪。
在排燈節期間，你的印度客户可能會 “失蹤”，他們當然是過節去啦。
節日就離不開購物，據 RedSeer 資料，預計今年排燈節期間當地電商交易額將達到 25 億 -30 億美元。 2017 年排燈節期間（9 月 20-9 月 24 日），線上零售商的銷售額達到 15 億美元，比 2016 年的 10.5 億美元增長了 40% 以上，是 2015 年的 7.2 億美元的兩倍多。
